Let's Talk Beauty: A Makeup Tutorial.....

February 26, 2018

Spring is fast approaching and the weather here in Savannah has been great, and I'm here for it! However, before spring arrives, I want to share with you all how I achieve one of my favorite makeup looks that I have been loving this season. Here are the steps to achieve this look:
  1. Prime your face- I use the Urban Decay quick fix primer
  2. Do your eyeshadow by using a neutral color since the main focus of this look is the lips. And apply some eyeliner. Apply some concealer or eyeshadow primer on your lid, so the shadow will not move throughout the day. I usually use the ABH Modern Renaissance palette or the Naked Basics eyeshadow palette.
  3. Apply foundation or tinted moisturizer or bb-cream (whatever face product you use). Make sure it is well blended
  4. Then apply your concealer under the eyes, around the lips, and at any place that you want to cover. I use the NARS radiant creamy concealer.
  5. Put some blush on. Opt for a more subtle color like a soft pink, soft coral, or just use a light hand when applying your blush. Another option is to skip blush all-together.
  6. Apply 2 or 3 coats of mascara. The more volume the lashes have, the better.
  7. Put some highlighter on the cheekbones. You want the highlighter to pop but not too much because you don't want to overshadow the lipstick.
  8. Then apply your darkest berry, purple, or red lipstick that you have. I use this dark plum lipstick from Colourpop.
  9. Then I spray the urban decay all-nighter setting spray on my face and then that's it. I'm done! You can spray or use whatever setting product you have.
